He was a professor at Lafayette\nCollege in Easton, Pennsylvania, during which time he\nwrote this book, although it was not finalized and\npublished until some years later. In fifteen chapters\ncovering 83 pages, the author describes the start of his\ninterest in minerals, and then traveling, collecting, and\ninvestigating minerals through his career.
